Hi there!

Thanks so much for the mention of Radian6. We're definitely with you. There's a wealth of information and insights to be gleaned above and around just your brand, and competitive intelligence is a compelling one.

Thanks!

Getting comprehensive information about the competitors is hard. Only few companies have done comprehensive researches . Recently I came across this site - ecompetitors.com, which apparently has quality information on top 10,000 global industries.

It is worth a look.

Why bother with something so complex? Straightforward spying is much more effective. For example, it is amazing how much information can be gleaned from email. Take ESADE, for example. There, at least one senior faculty member was ousted in a long-running political battle in which an "insider" faculty opponent systematically used contacts with the IT department to snoop on the target´s e-mail. When the victim happens to be a former Dean of a Rotterdam business school working at ESADE, one can appreciate how far the rot goes. There are good reasons to think this kind of thing is standard practice at the institution.

This is an excellent work! Benchmarking the CI function is not an easy. The framework suggested by Comai and Prescott is comprehensive and very useful. You are able to leverage your intelligence process by looking to specific aspects I never been able before.
